Jessica + Mark | Snowy RMNP Engagement Shoot

Jessica, Mark and I first got together over pizza & beers. So, yes, they are exactly my kind of people ;) We planned their engagement session this winter, in a way that I don’t normally get requested! Typically couples prefer to reschedule if there ends up being snow…in this case, we rescheduled a few times until there WAS snow! We headed up to Idaho Springs one afternoon after it had been snowing all week. The sun was out, but we knew it would still be beautiful. I kid you not, a few minutes after we arrived, the most beautiful gentle snowfall began. And it wasn’t even in the forecast! We were so excited that we got the snow they dreamed of for their shoot. These two are such a blast, and it’s been such a joy getting to know them. I am so thrilled to be photographing their wedding in November, too! Cheers, Jessica + Mark! <3

Okay, so this day was a freaking dream. Ashley + Errol wed & celebrated at the beautiful Lyons Farmette in Lyons, Colorado. The venue is a beautiful green property nestled into the mountains, right near the St Vrain river. You can read more about it and and all they offer right here on their website! It was the middle of summer, so everything was SO green and beautiful! Huge trees, a massive grassy yard, a fire pit, flowers, vegetable garden, and a few different spaces for couples to get ready, were just a few of my favorite parts. Oh, did I mention there were alpacas and baby goats? Two of my favorite animals EVER, no big deal.

I was absolutely stunned the moment I saw Wild Moonflower’s florals decorating Ashley & Errol’s ceremony arch. The colors were seriously incredible - some of my favorite wedding florals I have EVER seen!

So not only was everything perfect visually…but this couple….the best, you guys. They are two of the sweetest people I have actually ever met, and even just after the first time I spoke with them on the phone, I felt like we were friends. Happy, good energy just filled the air. Ashley got ready with a few of her close friends and her mom, over in the main house. Nearby, Errol finished getting ready in a super cool airstream that’s there on the property! It was as rad as it sounds.

Before the ceremony, my second shooter Julia and I joined Ashley and Errol for a more private moment out in the backyard where they shared a first look, then exchanged vows with their officiant. It was so emotional and beautiful, I actually just got chills typing about it. Seriously, witnessing such powerful, love-filled moments like this are an absolute honor.

After sharing their vows together privately, Ashley & Errol had a special ceremony with their family and friends. They both were accompanied down the aisles by their mothers, and all eyes were admirably on them!

After the ceremony, the party immediately began! Yard games, the fire-pit, drinks & snacks entertained the guests while we snapped a few photos right there in the yard and with the coolest ever vintage blue truck! The just-married joy just radiates right out of them.

When we returned, toasts were made, an incredible meal by The Butcher & the Blonde was shared, and happy energy continued to engulf us all. Chris with Tip Top Entertainment kept the jams going, and the rest of the night flowed into dancing, cake cutting (SO YUMMY), so many laughs, and a lot more dancing.

Cheers to this sweet, warm hearted, fun loving couple! What an honor to be a part of this special day.

xx

Ella | Class of 2020

Senior sessions are some of my favorite! I started taking senior photos back before I was even a senior in high school, LOL. (Huge thanks to anyone who allowed me to do their senior photos at that time — and please don’t show them to anyone. HA)

But really, I love senior photos. That anticipation of high school graduation is such a wild time — and I love hearing about all of these seniors’ dreams + goals for the future. It’s so exciting and totally takes me back to that time.

We took Ella’s photos at her home, which was so unique and fun. Their property is beautiful! We got a killer sunset, and several doggo photobombs — that may have been the very best part :)

Here are a few of my favorites from that warm summer evening ~
