This shoot was extra near and dear to my heart! I have known Cassie since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! Talk about forever. She moved to Washington for college where she met the love of her life, Kaleb. It is always so exciting seeing your friends grow up, start their lives, and build true happiness. <3 I was THRILLED when I found out they were expecting a little one.

We originally tried to coordinate when we were both back home in Colorado for this shoot -- but of course life is crazy, and that's when it hit me that I should take the opportunity to venture, and fly out to them in beautiful Washington! And I am so glad I did.

Cassie & Kaleb hosted me in their beautiful home, and even though the trip was quick, it was so wonderful getting to catch up with Cassie (we hadn't seen each other in SIX YEARS!) and finally meet her hubby Kaleb (and their three adorable fur babies). When we weren't shooting, I spent some time venturing around the area which was a total blast. I love seeing new places. I fell in love with Washington quite quickly.

As soon as I arrived, we took some shots in downtown Seattle, then took the fairy over to where they live! The next day is when we shot in the forest and in the wildflowers and oh my gosh well just look at them and you will understand why my heart was exploding.

Anyway, they are two incredible, hilarious, loving people who are going to make the absolute best parents. It was truly an honor getting to document this milestone in their life, and I cannot wait to meet the sweet little gem they bring into this world! <3
